Image Recognition and Machine Learning
Macaw Schiphol-Rijk, Schiphol-Rijk / 02-04-2014
In this workshop, Rico will show you that the currently popular instrument of Machine Learning is really not all that hard to use. He will first explain some basic concepts of Machine Learning and Computer Vision (specifically, the simple yet effective Bag of Words model of classification), and have you create a computer program to recognize hand-drawn images.
In other words, you are going to make a computer play pictionary! :)
To participate fully, be sure to bring a laptop with a C++ compiler, clone the repository at https://github.com/rix0rrr/sketch-recognition-workshop/ and follow the instructions to get your environment set up.
This workshop is based off of a weekend contest held at Sioux Embedded Systems in Eindhoven.
